Bluetooth is a short distance communication radio technologys which can exchange the wireless data between the equipments, including mobile phones, PDA, wireless headset, laptop computers and associated peripherals. ZigBee is a kind of close, low complexity, low power consumption, low data rate, low cost, two-way wireless communication technology. ZigBee also is a kind of highly reliable wireless digital network; communication distance is from the standard 75 meters to hundreds. of meters, a few kilometers and support extended unlimitedly. ZigBee has been widely used in industrial control, home networking and automation, building automation, consumer electronics, wireless sensor networks etc, is expected to become mainstream technology in the future of wireless communications. Bluetooth and ZigBee protocol conversion for heterogeneous wireless network technology is ZigBee network as a general purpose data packet transmission network to transmit Bluetooth data packet technology. It is the expansion of existing networks and Bluetooth networks relay the technical means to access network.This paper researches the key technology of the Bluetooth and ZigBee heterogeneous wireless network system and contributes the particular design and implementation for Bluetooth and ZigBee heterogeneous wireless network system based on the current information about this field. we introduce the transmission system of wireless network technology selected and give the architecture of heterogeneous wireless network transmission system, and then analyze how to build functional modules forming the whole sending system and receiving system. The sending system modules use the function of upper management receiving the Bluetooth packets and then converting it to ZigBee packets to send to the ZigBee link. The receiving system modules intercept and capture ZigBee packets using the network layer protocol stack, and then converting the ZigBee packets to Bluetooth packets send to purpose, thus reach two far apart Bluetooth devices through ZigBee data link realize communication..The implementation of this paper is on the platform of Windows, using the production C51RF of wireless Long Company, number of laptops and smart phones with Bluetooth and experiment the system simulating the heterogeneous wireless network environment.
