| This thesis concerns the political effect of Micro blog, which is popular in Media realm and admired by many researchers. Micro blog is a platform on which people can publish, get or share anything they want. With the development of Internet technology in China, the number of Micro blog users has increased fast since 2009. Born with some advanced functions, the Micro blog's characters include terseness, open, efficiency and interactivity. AH these characters make it possible for this new media play a part in the political life. However, the effect of Micro blog in actual policy should be supported by specific research but not only judged by some phenomenon.It is necessary to understand the main functions of Micro blog, as they are the foundation to the research. This research discuss about the probable forms of political effect according to theoretical derivation. Then content analysis and text analysis are used to investigate the realistic role of the Micro blog in some political event, compared to the former logical reasoning. The conclusions are much different from the popular points of view and the Micro blog are playing a positive role in information spreading, for example, the users can publish some information in time. However there is still a long way for Micro blog to permeate the daily life on the whole.Furthermore, the author rethinks profoundly about the attitude in the Media realm, faced to some new problems about information disseminating. People should hold an objective view of New Media, including the positive effect and negative reality. |
