Logistics industry plays an important role in Social activities. To increase its contents of new technologies in various aspects can improve the overall efficiency, increase the operating rate of existing resources and increase social and economic benefits but reduce the probability of unsafe incidents. Considering the development and the current status of the logistics industry, this paper will introduce most of the details how to design an embedded device meeting the needs of logistics industry and security applications. In this system, we used a high-performance ARM9 microcontroller S3C2440A as the core processor of the design, all programs will be developed and cross-compiled under the environment of open source Linux Operating System. In the development process of the equipment we integrated Radio Frequency Identification technology, Global satellite Positioning Systems, public communication networks and image acquisition, site-alarm technology into one device, to ensure the technical content of new equipment speeds up the information process of logistics industry. This paper will briefly discuss the principles and methods of application technologies, while focusing on introducing the performance of embedded system and some other hardware modules. Also the circuit schematics, module drivers, application programs, the methods and procedures of compiling will be given.
