With the development of economy, waterway transportation plays an important role in the whole transport system. With the increasing traffic flows, one essential problem is to ensure the safety of the channel. Especially that the inland waterways hydrological geography circumstance is very complex, and that waterway transportation bears huge weight of load, so it presents a high requirement of channel security. Beacons as the basic facilities ensure waterway security a long history, but our traditional pattern of beacon management is gradually revealing varied malpractice, already dissatisfing the current rapid development of waterborne transportation requirements. Urgently we need to build a more efficient and reliable beacon-monitoring system, to improve waterway administration and beacon maintenance level. This paper is a research designed on real-time monitoring technology sea-mark position.The paper uses ARM11 S3C6410 to design a set of embedded real-time monitoring terminal sea-mark position based on Linux system. The terminal installed in the beacon, and satellite positioning information are collected by GPRS communication module. This information is sent to monitor center communication by message, so as to realize the real-time monitoring of beacons position. For waters or equipment simple small ships which monitoring system is not covered, this paper puts a new way to make sure a sea-mark position through wireless transmission ship navigation and communication module. When the ship can directly send request to monitoring terminal within a certain distance near beacons, it can get the position information of those beacons.Through the evidences of experiments, a real-time monitoring terminal sea-mark position which this paper designed can well realize the acquisition and transportation of the real-time navigation position information.
