In the industry, military, coal monitoring fields, the real-time data are collected. Data is trasmitted through CAN-bus to distributed control terminals in order to storage the on-site information and further process. In some cases, however, distributed terminals also need communication for sharing information, and due to physical constraint, physical connection between terminals is not allowed, there is needed the wireless medium for terminals's communication.To meet the need of such occasions, the paper deeply analyzes the technology of CAN-bus and wireless RF, designs and realizes a system which incorporates CAN bus and wireless communication. The system satisfies the actual needs of some area like military, industry, which ask for the both exiting of CAN-bus and wireless.The nodes in this system have same parts, that is CAN-bus module and wireless module. The CAN-bus module was used to deal with the message tansmitted through CAN-bus, wireless module used for sending the message from CAN-bus to other nodes unit. The implement of this system including three parts, namely the realization of hardware and software and system testing. Hardware design introduces hardware framework design, chip selection, and detailed hardware circuit design. The controller of CAN is SJA1000, the radio-frequency chip is nRF2401A. Software design is the main focus of this article, which mainly researchs on how to realize high speed and correct communications between CAN-bus and wireless. System test is done from functional side in order to test the system whether can communicate through CAN-bus and send out messages from the CAN-bus through wireless or not.The innovation of this paper is that it combined CAN-bus with wireless, realized the dual communication of the two in order to satisfy the actual needs. At the same time, the node element in the system has advantages of saving energy, high speed, low cost and so on. It can be used as a module embedded in a larger development system or the actual devices.Finally, the paper summarizes the advantages of this system, concludes the problems and solutions which appeared in the implementation process of this system, and proposes the direction of further studying and foregrounds its future development in the Internet of things.
