RFID(Radio Frequency Identification),is a non-contact automatic identification technology. It can automatically recognize the target object and access the relevant data through radio frequency. In the RFID system, middleware played a bridge between data capturing and the application, it can filter, collect and pass the data through the RFID system.This paper describes the design and implementation of an RFID middleware based on LLRP protocol, as well as the implementation in the supply chain management system. This middleware is used to mask the differences between different hardware devices and to keep the data transparent to users. And it also provide data filtering and collection capabilities, and is scalable to support adding new kind of hardware devices. The article proposed three solutions to meet the middleware's needs, they are:firstly, find an open, scalable, open source middleware as a basis; secondly, propose an RFID adapter based on LLRP protocol, which would be added to the system as a part of the middleware; finnaly, sdudy the encoding format of the EPC and conversion methods, and attempted to convert between different encoding format. At last, the middleware had deployed in a practical experiment, the supply chain management system, and did some related work on commissioning and testing.
