With the rapid development of IT globalization and ever-changing information technology, RFID and Internet of Things has gradually affected of our lives, and related technologies and standards are also under way. This article analyzed existing technologies and applications, and then it found that most Internet of Things equipments supply USB or serial port and can't be extended easily nor long-distance transmission. All of these have brought a bottleneck to Internet of Things. And USB and serial port have some technical difficulty and the general technical staff can not respond freely, and it is difficult to carry out complex application.With full needs analysis and feasibility analysis, this paper designs and implements an embedded RFID terminal device. It is an innovation in RFID and Internet of Things. Data is solved by AT90S8515 and useful data will be extracted and saved at designated memory to be used by other program. Data is sent to internet by RTL8019AS in HTTP packets. The device supplies RJ45 port and it is convenient to connect the Internet of Things and internet. The system contains RFID read and write program, thin TCP/IP stack and Web server. I implement a laboratory attendance management system based on the Embedded RFID terminal.Compared with traditional assembly of RFID device and PC, the design of this paper uses resources more effectively, reduces costs, more suitable for distributed arrangement. Base on RJ45 port, users can carry out a lot of applications they need. The design brings wide space for development of RFID and Internet of Things.
