The Design Of Optical Transmission System Of CCD Camera Image

With the development of space communication technology, CCD cameras are widely used in many fileds, such as space exploration. Traditional CCD cameras use Camera Link cables to transmit data signals and control signals, but the cables can only reach a short distance, and it is difficult to turn around and it have other problems. This paper provides the design of a system which can simultaneously transmit multiple CCD camera signals, by collecting input camera signals, multiplexing and transmitting through optical fiber.CCD image optical transmission system includes hardware design and software design. Hardware of the system should be designed according to project requirements, which must realize the required function and meet the size, temperature, vibration and other requirements. Software of the system is designed by using VHDL programming language, which completes complex serialization, DDR, header, scrambling code and other functions. This paper focuses on hardware design, software design and debugging of the transmission system.The main works of this paper are listed as bellow:(1) The Camera Link protocol standards are studied in order to understand the format of the transmitted data signals, which is the basis of the system design.(2) According to the design objectives, the working principle and workflow of the system are studied, and the implementation plan is made considering the cost, difficulty and other factors.(3) Hardware design:the sending and receiving board of the system, with software debugging.(4) Software design, each function module is studied.(5) System function testing and high-temperature, vibration stability testing are done.
