The Software And Hardware Design And Realization Of A New Shortwave Modem

Shortwave communication is a means of communication that uses radio wave, whose wavelength is10～100metres, to transmit and receive data and speech. Because of its simple equipments and strong survival ability, shortwave communication is widely used in ship communication, aviation communication, and especially the military communication.According to the GJB2077-94, a new shortwave ALE modem hardware platform, which based on the design of "TMS320C6713+FPGA", is designed in this thesis. The hardware design and the software realization of data-link layer control protocol of ALE are mainly discussed. The realizations of the FPGA port, the quadrature modulation module, the flash bootloader module and the ALE protocol are given. Finally, the realization of communication software between the platform and the master PC is introduced.
