With the demand of the scientific development, the position of the CCD camera in the image field is becoming increasingly more important. How to transfer high-definition images to a long distance is increasingly becoming a problem that can’t be ignored. Domestic industries who use CCD camera are eager to own a CCD camera system of transmission distance and flexible application to use. However, there is no such product in our country. In other countries, although the technology of using CCD image with optical transmission has been very mature, the introduction is out of pay, the price makes many manufacturers and research institutions despondently. Thus, independently developing our own affordable CCD camera image control and transmission system is imminent. In this paper, we self-design two-way CCD camera transmission system, and solve the problem that CCD camera image transmission system can’t transfer to long distance.Since transmission distances for CCD camera with cameralink cable is less than10meters, which greatly limits application of the camera. In the system it replaces cameralink cables with fiber optic between CCD camera and frame grabber to solve the problem of limited transmission distance. It includes a transmitting end and a receiving end.The main work done contains the forward image transfer and the reverse control signal transmission:Firstly, at the transmitter it transforms28-channel image signal into serial optical signal transmission for transmission of the forward image. At the receiver the optical signal is transmitted into the28-channel image data. Secondly, it designs the frame transmission autonomously and UDP/IP protocol for transmission for the controlling signal transmission. It discusses specific implementation process of the schemes and compares advantages and disadvantages of the two schemes.
