Design And Implementation Of A Purchase, Sales, And Inventory Management System For Enterprises

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are one of the important pillar forces of our national economy. Jiamusi Junxing Pipe fittings wholesale company has found as a private enterprise for many years, and developed into the chainbusinesses with a number of subsidiaries, a strong customer base and reliable supplier chain groups from a single business model under the background of national policy for rapid developing SMEs. However, the development of business and rapidly changing market economy require the company to change the management mode of the original manual into the modern management for purchase sales and inventory, and to improve competitiveness and operational efficiency.In the thesis, a purchase-sales-inventory management system(PSIMS) is designed and developed for Jiamusi City Junxing Pipe Corporation on the basis of the existing conditions of property, merchandise management, the actual work processes and systems requirement. The system includes data management, purchase management, marketing management, inventory management, payables management, receivables management, accounting management, statistical analysis and system management, totally nine subsystems. They basically recover the requirement of merchandise management, effectively implement the data management of the goods, customers, salesmen, warehouse, suppliers, contract management, as well as the full range of data from the purchase of goods, markets to inventory management to control the entire process. For the system on its analysis, design, development and implementation of the entire process are expatiated in the thesis.The PSIMS of Junxing Pipe Corporation is developed based on the Unified Modeling Language (UML) technology by employing UML, Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Rational Rose. Thereby, the modeling process for the corporation is advanced. A static structure diagram of the system model, the dynamic behavior of model and physical model including case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram and state diagram are also established.The system based on the use of B/S and C/S mixed-mode architecture and designed a three-tier structure. Design process through the database of the database system conceptual design, logic design, and the key to the design table.The UML techniques are employed to develop the PSIMS, and the local area network are employed as service platforms, which making the analysis and design more intuitive and clear, reducing the risk of system development, and controlling effectively over the entire system development process, safeguard the integrity of the system. The system is able to standardize the management of a large number of complex product data, easily well organized and accurately complete the whole management for merchandising of the goods from storage to a database, effectively reduce the workload of management and enhance efficiency.
