Embedded systems generally refer to non-PC system, with computer functions but do not called the computer equipment. It is application-centric, software and hardware can be cut, and to adapt applications to the functionality, reliability, cost, size, power requirements, which are all comprehensive strictly dedicated. Ad Hoc network is a mobile communication network that achieve interconnection through a specific protocol while do not need any infrastructure (including base stations, access points, etc.) Network nodes use multiple access protocol to share wireless resources, and routing protocol to cache or forward data.This project is about ARM9 embedded system hardware used to connect radio communication terminal equipment with communications termination. This communication processor achieved a set of tactics and can be formed communication networks. The processor can transfer network port data into the radio controled RS232/RS485 data. But also to transfer the radio data from the air to the network port and send it to the communication hosts. For Air-ground communications, data links are often the only means of communication, the framing of its formatting features are not suitable for audio, video, data and file transfer. the subject of the proposed DTS-01 data transmission system is based on the actual use of such needs and fully refered to the data link technology and wireless LAN IEEE802.11 protocol.The main task of this project is hardware implementation of a communication processor, and I completed the embedded systems design, PCB implementation, and later debugging. Protel 99se is used for hardware design and VMware virtual machine is used for the provision of Linux platform. HyperTerminal software used in the Debugging process, and in the last part of Chapter III has described debugging operations in detail. The entire hardware system board can be divided into core board and backplane two modules, and six parts of backplane are:power supply, Reset, JTAG, EEPROM, Serial and Network part. S3C2440 is used as the core processor of the embedded system, S3C2440 is Samsung's 16/32-bit RISC micro-controller, the CPU uses ARM920T. ARM920T systems typically contain JTAG, Memory, Serial port, Internal Bus Controller and Network controller. The Internal Bus Controller is connected Bootroom and Flash. Bootroom is in store of Bootloader, and Flash in store of operating system. Network controller are connected to external chips DM9000A and CS8900A via the MII interface and ISA interface separately.In order to achieve the communication requirements, the project also studyed in hybrid routing protocol ZRP. ZRP hybrid routing protocol consists of three parts:IntrAzone Routing Protocol (IARP), IntErzone Routing Protocol (IERP) and Boardcast Resolution Protocol (BRP). ZRP routing protocol named the active routing selection inside the region as the intrazone routing protocol (IARP), and the part of the global on-demand routing outside the region known as the interzone routing protocol (IERP). BRP works in the IERP packet transfer mechanism and it is relative to IARP and IERP. On one hand it based on information within the region provided by IARP, on the other hand it hand over the information to IERP for routing service.
