With the increasing of crude oil consumption and increasing number of oil wells, crude oil production accurate, timely, scientific measurement has become an important work to oil field management.Based on the study of related literatures of domestic and foreign crude oil metering management system, combining the latest chip technology, electronic technology, communication technology, computer technology and information processing technology, this paper presents the design and development of high reliability, low cost, good real-time remote wireless metrology management system of oil wells.According to the development situation and future development trend of domestic and foreign oil wells remote wireless metrology management system, this paper puts forward a kind of three-layer architecture model:fluid production data acquisition sensor terminal, data relay station and the data management center. Among them, the sensor terminal designed a kind of thermo-flow sensor based on Endothermic law of thermodynamics. Crude oil was heated in measurement device. We can calculate liquid producing quantity according to the temperature difference before heating and after heating. Its design principle is simple. The parameter measurement is simple and the measurement results'precision is high. Production parameters, measured by the sensors, are sent to the data relay stations after a short-range wireless transmission. Then they are stored in the large-capacity storage memory. It saves the data relay stations' pay and flow fee by the way that multiple sensors share the same relay station to collect data through time division multiplex. Data, after obtained by data relay stations, are transmitted to the data management centers in each oilfield to realize data wireless remote transmission, through GPRS communication network. Data management centers calculate the quantity of liquid according to the parameters measured by the Sensors. At the same time, data management centers complete data analysis, printing and web publishing. In addition, the influence factors of thermo-flow method, to obtain liquid producing quantity, are analyzed, and the main factors among them-the oil production electricity parameters are collected, analyzed and designed.Thermo-flow sensor, power measurement sensors and data relay station's hardware and software design are described in detail. Single chip microcomputer P89LPC938 is used as MCU core processor when we design the sensors hardware. At the same time, we adopt modular design. All these methods can improve the integration on the basis of ensuring the reliability of the circuit. Data relay station unit selects LPC2103 ARM7-based microcontrollers as the core processor, realizing the system power-efficient designs. Each part of the software also uses the modular design, taking into account the coordination among various modules to realize the program's efficiency design. The combination of hardware and software design makes hardware simple, software high efficiency, power consumption low and performance of the system optimum.This system uses the thermo-flow method for measuring liquid production for the first time. So, it requires parameters calibration tests before installation. Coriolis mass flowmeter, what is a kind of high precision flow measurement by the current, provides standard liquid production. Then we can find the relations among parameters measured by the sensor, a variety of other factors and fluid production. This calibration method, combined with the Coriolis mass flowmeter, not only improves the measurement accuracy, but also reduces the cost and expands the scope of the sensor. Meanwhile, it can achieve shutdown alarm function by simple software settings.We chose the method that combining of short-range wireless transmission and GPRS remote network transmission to transmit the measurement data. It can ensure data transmission real-time, reliability and decrease the system operating cost.After several hardware and software debugging and field tests, the system realizes all the functions of oil wells remote wireless metrology and management. We measured many on-site wells' production parameters using the device designed according to this system. Then we compared the result with the standard liquid production provided by the field managers. Practice has proved that the error of fluid production results calculate by this system is small. The system can operate stably and maintain easily. It truly makes well meter automatically, real-time, and has a good application effect.
