The Design And Implementation Of Campus Network TV Based On Streaming Media

Network television is a product of new medium which combines network and broadcasts together, it has the feature and advantage of high integration, high interactivity, globalization, and digitalize. From the material and network data we can see that the network television in developed countries has almost 10 years of history, Japan and the United States going in the first column. It is not difficult to see that the network television in China is in the initial stage of development although the network technology in China has made rapid development in recent years.The working principle of network television is to create a virtual multicast technology within the system and each user is both the media user and media publisher. Network television applying in education has a very good prospect and a broad market space.The research mainly use in the institutions of higher education campus facing to teachers and students. Funding constrains in the second institutions who want high-quality teaching effectiveness to develop the network television platforms which using the existing cables television networks and the internet network resources. It saves equipment costs in campus and achieves the goals of getting twice the result with half the effort. At the same time it improves the professional level of teachers, but also students are able to exercise self-learning ability and practical ability. This paper balances the application effects of network television in campus.Windows server2003 is used as a server platform in this paper and Windows Media Services is used as the video media server. It sends all kinds of video files to client by using two different communication protocols which are RTSP/TCP and RTP/UDP and using streaming media technology. In this paper we focus on Windows Media server can receive content from several different sources and then encoded by encoder and it can convert video files which are collected on television to video file which we need and send. At the same time the button of television, seminars, on-demand television teaching materials are embedded in web page, the user who want to watch only browse the corresponding web page, and it combines the transmission of video signal and data signal. The constructed campus network television should fully play its role in education and teaching value and it should comprehensively improve the professional skills of teachers and the quality of students and strengthen teacher-student interaction and enrich the campus culture. It becomes the window of making students understand the school and social dynamics, and it becomes an effective tool and an effective mean of publicity of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labor education.
