Study Of Video-monitoring System Bases On 3G Mobile Communication

With the development of the 3G mobile communication technology, the needs of multimedia services on internet become more widely. Because of this, the video-monitoring technology based on 3G network attracts more and more attentions. Backing on the video-monitoring system which has already been running in reality, the network environment was changed from wired to wireless 3G, and the article did some research on the problems occurred when the streaming video was transmitted on the wireless 3G network, realized the real-time and smooth playing of the streaming video, and made the wireless 3G network combining with the application of the system.This article first analyzed the limitation of the traditional wired video-monitoring system, pointed out the necessity of the use of wireless 3G network, and researched the key technology which was applicable to wireless video-monitoring system. Then this article studied the characteristics of 3G network and streaming video, and analyzed the problems which occurred in the transmission process. According to these problems, this article put forward the management of the packets, including the size of splitting the packet, the management of the buffer, the detection of the disordered packet and the recovery of the lost packet. Finally it designed the framework and function of the video-monitoring system which was based on the 3G mobile communications, and gave out the detailed description of the key modules.According to the designation above, the article completed the development of the video-monitoring system which was based on 3G network, and did some tests in the laboratory. The results of the tests show that the realization was consistent with the design, and get the conditions on which the quality of the video was better. It confirmed that the streaming video could be transmitted through the wireless 3G network.
