Research On Control Technology Of Digital Home Network QoS

With the raising cost performance of consumer electronic products and the fusion of 3C(Computer, Communication and Consumer Electrics)technology, the Digital Home Network has become a important develop orientation in the information consumption field.Digital Home Network extends the function and application of the public network to the home area by a residential gateway. It can construct the wired or wireless network environment and connect all kinds of information terminals (like home appliances, PC etc.). It connects and integrates numerous the control monitoring and communication equipments to provide automatic control and remote management etc. at the home area. In this way, the information can be shared and circulated both in the home network and the public network. With the development of the Ubiquitous Network concept, home network becomes a basic platform of the multi-services'fusion. In the process of the multi-services fusion, how to ensure and realize the QoS of network business becomes the urgent and important problem in the development of the Digital Home Network.This paper has Digital Home Network as a background, and combining with the current mainstream key technology and related standards of digital home, it elaborates the research on the QoS of the Digital Home Network.Under the research of the Digital Home Network businesses fusion, this paper analyzes the current hot spots which international home appliances, IT, telecom, microchip and software, etc. industrial communities pay attention to, such as the isomerism which the Digital Home Network presents by the coexist of many interconnected network technology and interface agreement standard, and the deficiency of unified and integrated solution of the Digital Home Network QoS.For the above problems, the major work and research content are as follows:1. Combining with the research of the current mainstream QoS technology and the support of Linux for QoS, this paper set up a integrated platform of the Embedded Digital Home Network residential gateway. Under the setting scene of digital home multi-media, we do research on the QoS in the residential gateway, and work out the QoS control module as the important part of the residential gateway; 2. This paper proposes an effective solution for the QoS control architecture and control system which can provide multi-servises fusion. Meantime, it sets up a unified Digital Home Network QoS control platform. In this way, we can not only put relevant control and management into effect, but also play a security role in QoS for different users'businesses. Also, it will provide a foundation for the further research on the Digital Home Network QoS.
