Connect the embedded system to network have become a main trend, remote control and management to embedded system through network is one important application of embedded system networking technology. Analyzing and comparing several technology for embedded system networking both at home and abroad at present, we bring forward one scheme of embedded residential gateway based on embedded microprocessor and embedded operate system, then we design and realize the several key modules of this scheme.Firstly, we design the circuit of embedded residential gateway hardware platform based on embedded microprocessor, including series port circuit module(for communication within residential network), network interface module(for communication with Internet) and memory module, etc..Embedded Web Server is the key method that access embedded residential gateway through Internet, and monitor and manage devices in residential network through residential gateway. This paper analyze the mechanism and the working elements of embedded web server, on this base, design and realize one embedded web server, and analyze factors that influence the performance of embedded web server, then bring forward works should do to improve the embedded web server.Finally, develope the application software system, customize residential network protocol, then realize the protocol in software. Realize the communication between internet and residential network, achieve the objective of remote control and management, and validate the system in method of software emulation.
