Smart Home gradually formed and developed with the people's higher demands of living environment. Compared with the traditional home environment, intelligent home devices can satisfy people's requirements of the interconnection and communication in home device and home environment all-round monitoring. Traditional smart home systems were set up by wire, such as LonWorks, CEBus, X-10, RS485, CANBus, Ethernet, etc.The greatest drawback of cable wiring is the needs of re-wiring when adding or removing equipments, which is not only troublesome, but also affects the attractive looks. Besides, the scalability and mobility of the system are also relatively poor,and the costs of installation and maintenance is high. Short-range wireless technology has been get a great breakthrough today.Using short-range wireless communication technology can solve the above problem very well, and reduce energy consumption, improve scalability.In this paper,firstly analyzing and comparing of existing home gateway plans and the family short-range wireless communications technology,then a plan using of 32-bit RISC microprocessor and ZigBee technology to build embedded intelligent home gateway is proposed.Studying embedded system analyzing ZigBee protocol at all levels in detail, and giving a detailed system solution hardware design schematic diagram.This paper proposed a method using of LCW (LINUX+C+WEB) framework to build embedded intelligence platform based on software design methods. Based on the design of human-computer interaction systems, HCAC (HTML+CSS+AJAX+CGI) design pattern which combines the ideas of remote monitoring of traditional embedded devices and the building of Web application on universal PC is proposed. Compared with the GUI design of traditional embedded type, this mode does not need to add additional library files and learn to use an additional library, which is not only further lower the demand of the hardware devices of the embedded system, but also provides powerful network capability. The application is really ubiquitous. Relative to the Web application programme on common PC, the system of this model building is more compact and is lower demand of network performance. Therefore it's more suitable for development on embedded device. In this paper, a basic home gateway platform using LCW framework and HCAC development model is designed. And using TI CC2430 ZigBee solution as family internal communication plan. Completing the development of the wireless communication program and system monitoring program. Implementing the local and remote monitoring for home equipment.
