The social function of supervision of public opinion is one of media,and the role it played in modern civilization is indelible.Since the birth of Newspapers of Marxism in China,it took courage to criticize the government and the ruling party,that was not responsible for the people, as criticism becoming a way of political struggle. However, the inner-party supervision of supervision by public opinion began from "criticism and self-criticism" in Yanan Revolution, it played an important role of the party's building and the progress of the revolution.After the birth of new China,criticism and self-criticism played a catalytic role in the process of our country's building, it also has been exploited by the forces of destruction in the Cultural Revolution.The criticism and self-criticism restart after the Reform and Opening up Policy implemented.Despite ups and downs,news reforming step by step,the party and government attached great importance on media,and developed a series of measures to protect media practitioners.As an official newspaper,People's Daily can aware of the information policy acutely, it has differences and similarities with other media.It should balance the role of Policy advocacy and information dissemination.With the evolution of history,the way and the concept of People's Daily did Supervision changes.According to the evolution of People's Daily,its supervision is divided into three stages since the Reform and Opening up Policy.These three stages,from exploration to conservatism and aging. It uses content analysis to investigate Supervision of People's Daily.Today with the increasing competition in media, and the audience media literacy rapid increasing, it will provide references for the reform of party press.
