Now as the window of Human-computer interaction and information, display has play a prominent role in the age of information. People also have more requirement to the quality of images. With its thin, light etc advantages, LCDs and PDPs have radually become the mainstream of the consumer market. But when the flat panel display show a fast-moving image, the dynamic image will have a certain degree of distortion like the motion blur, the large area flicker. This causes the deteriorate of Dynamic image quality and restricts its development in other field such as video field. So how to evaluate the dynamic resolution become the focus of research.The main work of the dissertation involves the following parts:Firstly, it analyzes the current test method of dynamic resolution both at home and abroad. It also analyzes the common panel display's showing technology and the human visual system.Then, basing on the above theoretical analysis, This paper proposed a new equivalent static test method which is the combination of subjective and objective. This method effectively uses the accuracy of the human visual model in time domain and the accuracy results of subjective evaluation of the static images. It also effectively avoids the inaccuracy of the human visual model in space domain and the inconsistent results of subjective evaluation of the dynamic images.Lastly, the proposed test method was simulated on the Visual C++ platform. The dynamic resolution obtained by using the software actually consisted with subjective evaluation of the human eye. So this method basically completed the test requirements.
