Research And Design Of Dataacquisition System For EOC Network Management

Cable TV network is the important informatization infrastructure of our contry, as thedevelopment of business and urgent need of "three nets fusion", there are higher requirements for thecapacity and quality of the network. But traditional cable TV HFC network transmissions cannot meet those needs. At present, among the HFC network access methods, EPON+EOChave been paid more attention.In order to ensure the EPON+EOC network working accurately with high efficient and stable operation, it is needed to provide anEOC network management system line with the OSI network management standard. At present, the simple network management protocol (SNMP) has been widely used in all kinds of network management software. Network agency (Agent) is an important network management module, existing in a managed device, used to manage the operation equipment status, equipment characteristics, system configuration and other related informations, etc. The agent is an interface between the equipment and network managers.This paper provides an EOC bureau terminal equipment (CLT) network management scheme for Opulan Technologies Corp, design and implements the network management data acquisition system.This paper firstly introduces EPON+EOC network structure and network management system structure.Then it analyzes EOCnetword management requirement, namely the content ofthe EOC management and the functions it should have.Aspects should be considered includes: support the SNMP protocol; what functions a general EOCnetwork management possess; According toOpulanEOC, what special network management functions should be provided; functions to support broadcast TV standard management functions. According to the results of the analysis, design the management databases (MIB). After that,we realized the MIB module and Agent module, and automatic detection protocol—client side. At last, test the system and ummarize the subject and outlook the further work.
