As the conventional line-heating method for ship hull plate forming has been unable to meet the requirement of automation, digital and green production in shipyard, a novel forming process for three-dimensional ship hull plate is proposed in the paper. It is the no-pair punch forming method with square press heads(NPF), which is a new flexible forming technology for sheet metal parts. It replaces the traditional solid die with two matrices of discrete punches which the height of each punch can be adjusted. Different surface shapes can be constructed by adjusting the height of punches to achieve the goal of reconfigurable die forming.The interface software based on NPF serves as a bridge in implementing the NPF equipment for automatic, digital manufacturing. And it is an important part of the NPF software system. Its main work is to input the information of the surface shape, complete 3D wireframe modeling, and compute the adjustment height of each punch based on the wire-frame modeling. The interface software is comprised of the data interface component and the data post-processing component, the plate part visualization and the calculation of the adjustment height are include in data post-processing component. The thesis studies on the design of the NPF interface software.The main study of this thesis is as follow:1) In this thesis, the status of 3D hull plate processing is described. Based on the development of the Reconfigurable Die for plate forming, the working principle of the NPF method is introduced, and experiments for saddle-shaped plate and the sail-shaped plate forming were carried out. The results showed that the impression on the plate was alleviated and the wrinkling was eliminated.2) Base on the analysis of the character of ship hull plate processing data which generated from the HD-SHM2000 software system, a method of extracting the plate processing data is proposed. The interface between HD-SHM2000 software system and the NPF CAD/CAM software is designed which realizes the seamless link of the data files. 3) User Interface based on the Visual C++ platform was developed, and the human-machine interaction control function is realized combined with OpenGL Programming Language.4) The mathematical model of non-uniform B-spline curve, properties and computational algorithm are presented in this paper. The curve interpolation program which has high accuracy is developed.With the help of the core OpenGL functions for graphics rendering, the visualization of Ship hull plate parts is also realized5) Calculating adjustment height of each punch is a necessary part of data post-process component. Based on the wireframe model, adjustment height was figured out precisely, the result is also checked and it showed that precision of this algorithm meets the engineering requirements.
