Digital Filter IC Design For WiMAX Applications

WiMAX Protocol in October 19,2007, the International Telecommunication Union (TTIJ) formally approved standards for the 3G IMT-2000, a full member of the family, and WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD tied a SCDMA as the world's 4th largest 3G standard.WiMAX technology has attracted many academics, government officials, industry's attention, while the telecom industry is facing falling profits, price competition, market saturation, looking for new business to open up new markets is imminent. For performance and service advantages, WIMAX in China is bound to be a good opportunity.Digital Down Converter Based on WiMAX technology is the content of this study, the main focus on the digital down-conversion module and the digital filter design.In this paper work as follows:1. Introduced the digital signal sampling theory, the network based on WiMAX DDC digital down converter module structure and one of the basic functions of the filter.2. Mainly the two filters,cascaded CIC decimation filter and FIR filter. Analysis the two filter's structure, characteristics and appropriate under the MATLAB simulation.3. Using hardware description language Verilog HDL description of the two filters, two filters and MATLAB simulation and simulation results under the same comparison results are correct.4. Design is based on look-up table of FIR half-band filter, and optimizing the size of the lookup table.5. Based ASIC design, using TSMC 0.1 Sum library files, based on the synopsis of the integrated software DC (Design Compiler) to two types of filters integrated into the gate level, after synthesis netlist and the simulation.6. Cascaded CIC decimation filter and FIR half band filter for drawing the map. In Linux, Cadence's Encounter with the territory of the software, using TSMC 0.18 library file complete layout design.Complete the post-layout simulation after extracting the parameters.7.
