It has gone through for decades that WEB develops from the original text editor to the present dynamic pages which are based on graphics with a strong interactive capability and flexibility. With the further development and popularity of the network technology, endless varieties of applications based on WEB are appearing today. One of the most extensive and mature applications is the office automation system which is based on B/S structure. This article will focus on the WEB-based office automation (OA) management system of B/S structure.Along with the computer technology, especially the network technology of speeding the development of information collection, arrangement, the extensive use, spread more information age into a higher level. To the information technology of mastery and rational utilization of largely influences a group in the future social development, some even the decisive factors, such as the enterprises to realize office automation degree has become to measure its realization modernization management of a standard.OA is Office Automation, refers to the abbreviation of Office Automation or automatic Office. Along with the computer technology, communication technology and network technology advance by leaps and bounds, about OA description in constantly enrich, but still no man ever to OA under the most authoritative, most scientific, the most comprehensive and the exactest definition .Generally speaking, it is to show all can meet in enterprises and institutions, synthesis, can improve the unit interior information exchange, sharing, circulation processing and realize office automation and improve work efficiency of all sorts of informatization equipment and application software, Is an enterprise's daily operation and management, staff and managers use frequency is highest application system.It use Internet or Intranet technology, based on workflow concept that the enterprise internal personnel quickly sharing information, efficiently collaborative work, Change the past complex and inefficient manual office method, realize rapid and comprehensive information collection, information processing, for enterprise's management and decision to provide the scientific basis. Since 1985, domestic held the first office automation planning session since, OA in application content of the depth and breadth, IT technology used in such aspects as a new change and development, and an organization indispensable core application system. An enterprise realize office automation degree and the measure its realization modernization management standards.Now unit departments are equipped with computer and development or use some aim at each transaction processing applications or system, etc, to a certain extent, improves the office efficiency. Therefore, in the unit computer network on establish efficient, integration, coordination of digital office system conditions is mature, this also is fundamentally change the office management system in an effective way.From the actual needs, the project aims at resolving the complex and disordered office management, streamlining the production process and improving the efficiency. In this paper, general methods of system development, namely: function-oriented analysis, workflow-oriented design and object-oriented realization, are applied. In view of the above methods, in-depth discussion is made on all the aspects of the system development process. It also defines the functional requirements, hierarchical structure, some features of the modules and other details of the system. The designs and implementations of the database, the modules and other details are discussed in detail. System testing and maintenance are explained simply as well.Directing at the characters of the WEB project, the system adopts the 4-storey structure to simplify the development and maintenance work, that is, the performance layer, business logic tier, data interaction layer and data layer. Structs + Hibernate framework technology and DWR are used to simplify and standardize the development process. Oracle 9i Database is used to achieve the data layer.The system realizes all the modules that are needed. To the users, it is full-featured, superior in performance, and easy to use without training, etc.. To the maintenance personnel, layered architecture is clear in structure and easy to maintenance and upgrade, etc. Specific modules include:Personal office: e-mail, attendance management, working plan, document management, etc.Public office: travel scheduling (staff whereabouts), leave and leave clearance management, customer management, workflow management, etc. Information exchange: the management of the releases and inquiries of the announcement, the department notices, news, and policies, etc.System management: departments, staff management, role-authority-resource management.
