With the development of society, the importance of environment protection is increased day by day. Total phosphorus (TP for short) is one of the important factors to measure the degree of eutrophication pollution characteristics, but also it is an important indicator in water quality monitoring. Therefore, TP in the water environment monitoring gets more and more attention. At present, no matter in international or domestic, working mode of the water on-line monitoring system merely realize the automation for artificial sampling analysis. In this paper, TP on-line monitoring system for water quality can work continuously 24 hours a day. The data detected by the device can reflect the trend of total phosphorus, and it is expected to provide a reliable basis for the environmental management and monitoring. The main research work of this paper are as follows:1,Digestion efficiency of some advanced oxidation processes and their combinations for water samples oxidation are studied. An oxidation digestion device is designed which based on the combination of advanced oxidation processes. It can be used to pre-treat the water samples. Combination of advanced oxidation processes has the characteristics of simple operation, fast digestion, without addition of chemical reagents, and no secondary pollution compared with the traditional national standard method by adding potassium persulfate digestion under high pressure, and it is convenient for total phosphorus online detection. Experimental analysis and comparison show that the phosphorus in water samples is oxidized digestion completely and is stable by this method. The test results after digestion are consistent with the national standard method. This environmentally friendly green water treatment technology has a good promotional value for water quality on-line monitoring system.2,A phosphate ion-selective electrode performance and characteristic are studied, some experimental analysis and research on selectivity, stability, response time and linear response range of the electrode have been done. A data acquisition system which used to dynamically record and display the potential response curve of the measured solutions is developed. The electrode is made with metallic cobalt (as a kind of sensitive material). According to the experiments, a math model with response potential and pH value of the solution as independent variables and concentration as dependent variable is established so as to compensate the measurement values of the electrode. The experiment results show that: the ion-selective electrode based on cobalt has good selectivity, stability and short response time, and the establishment model can fit response curves well, as well as the measurement values of the electrode influenced by the pH value can be compensated by the model. It offered a reference for the development of the phosphate ion selective electrode.
