Head-Up Display parallax will directly affect the aiming accuracy of airborne electro-optics sighting system. Traditional parallax detection methods exist lots of questions such as low detection accuracy, low efficiency, etc which greatly effected by observer's subjective influence. The method of DSP-based automatic detection of HUD parallax is proposed which integrates CCD image acquisition technology. The measuring principle, basic composition and core algorithm of the method are elaborated. And design of the automatic feedback control section of parallax detector is realized. The main work and attainments are summarized as follows|:1. According to the principles of parallax detector, the mathematical relationship of focusing range, defocusing amount, parallax angle is analyzed.2. By analyzing the principle of auto-focus image processing, image evaluation function is set up as the core of parallax detection algorithm.Combine with Laplace Function, a kind of gray gradient image evaluation function for detecting Head-Up Display parallax's graduation image is researched.3. In order to improve detection efficiency and accuracy, the methods of focus window's intelligence planning are analyzed that commonly used in domestic and foreign. Based on the high brightness Collimator Graduation Image of HUD, focus window's intelligence planning is researched.4. In order to improve parallax automatic testing process, optimizing climbing search algorithm is improved on the analysis of disadvantage of traditional mountain climbing search algorithm shortage which can greatly reduces the system errors.5. According to the main technical parameters of the parallax detector, embedded DSP feedback control system is designed that meets measurement requirements, and then completes feedback control part of the software. The experimental results verify the feasibility and the accuracy of all algorithms. The control system meets the head-up display parallax detection requirement which integrates with image acquisition and optical system to compose HUD parallax automatic detection system.
