Glasses-free3D display technology is referred as the final trend technology of3D display, which makes the viewers see stereo images without glasses. Parallaxbarrier3D display is one of the most mainstream glasses-free3D display technologies,but it is limited by the brightness. Currently, OLED is becoming the most populardisplay technology. It is more suitable for3D display, which benefits from the virtueof solid state, self-luminous, high luminous efficiency, fast response and so on. OLEDused as parallax barrier3D display has unique advantage, making it as the importantdirection of3D display technology in the future.This article clarifies that parallax barrier was used in AMOLED. The first partanalyzed human vision and parallax theory, provided a method to acquire parallaximages, then synthesized stereo image. According to the principle of parallax barrier3D display, the second part designed grating, modeling by Tracepro. In order to savework cycle and cost, we simulated until achieved the optimal parameters: gating topixel distance D(1.4mm), the best viewing distance L(900mm), the gratingpitch(140um), the thickness of grating(100nm). The result of simulation was toachieve the adjacent point distance65mm and brightness wave separated. In third partwe designed a driver circuit system by features of AMOLED, which used PC orplayer as signal source, DVI as the image input interface, FPGA as the sequentialcontroller. Finally, we set up glasses-free3D display system, which can play3Dimages and test display effect.The parallax barrier3D display system was established successfully which basedon AMOLED in this article, which can display stereo images and test steadily. Thissystem included driver circuit and3D display device,3D display device was fitted by2D AMOLED and grating.
