In this paper, the design of embedded DSP system is studied which includes the 1553B bus interface and the design and implementation of the intelligent serial. The TMS320C6713 DSP processor chip architecture and application development examples, the hardware expansion module circuit, and the smallest DSP system design and testing are discussed in detail. Then the design and implementation of multi-channel intelligent serial are discussed. And, by the analysis of the program and the realization of the corresponding software configuration, a serial port expansion module is implemented. Lastly, the relevant agreement, the external connection interface of 1553B bus, the testing process and achieve of the RT model in 1553B bus are described.The strong digital process capacity of DSP, the agility of CPLD and the distributed processing, concentrated control and real-time response of 1553B, are combined in this system which has high degree of system integration, processing speed, versatility and strong expansion.This design provides a way which is feasible and universal to study the 1553B bus interface adapter and multi-channel intelligent serial in the embedded system based on DSP. At the same time, this design can be seen as a reference to other embedded system design which is based on the DSP.
