Implementation And Design Of Frequency Synthesizer For Frequency-hopping Radio

As the the key element and important part for the electronic system like radar and communication, the functions and properties of frequency synthesizer make a great impact on the technical standards and the performance of the system. The goal of this paper is to study the design and implementation of the frequency synthesizer based on the result of one research project about frequency hopping radio.This paper analyzes the PLL frequency synthesizer and digital frequency synthesis technology. Via the comparation of the frequency synthesizer DDS incentive programs and PLL interpolation DDS program, a method with a hopping radio frequency synthesizer PLL interpolation DDS is proposed. We design and implement the hardware circuit of the frequency synthesizer, including DDS,VCO,phase detector,filter and frequency control. The test result for the fuctions of the frequency synthesizer is attached.The test result and experimental showed that the frequency synthesizer in this paper could meet the requirement of a frequency hopping radio. The frequency synthesizer has been used in a frequency hopping radio.
