With the development of the microelectronics and digital signal processingtechnology, frequency hopping communication technology has been rapidly developedand widely used in military field. As frequency hopping communication technology isgrowing maturely, it is also widely used in civil areas, personal communications andother fields. Frequency hopping communication has such advantages as stronganti-interference, low interception rate, multi-site networking capabilities, anti-fadingcapability etc. Frequency hopping communication technology develops mainly in twodirections. On the one hand, a high speed broadband frequency hopping communicationtechnology appears to be applied to the extremely high frequency range which cangreatly improve the data transmission rate and the capability of anti-interference. On theother hand, high speed differential frequency hopping communication technologyappears to be applied to the shortwave range with the qualities of high security, stronganti-interference, high transmission rate.Based on the deep study of the mechanism of frequency hopping communicationtechnology, the mechanism of new system frequency hopping communication has beenresearched in this paper by studying the high speed broadband frequency hoppingcommunication technology and high speed differential frequency hoppingcommunication technology. When studying the high speed broadband communicationtechnology, the frequency hopping pattern, the generation of the hopping frequency,and the multi-site mode of the signal generation module have been studied. Meanwhile,the synchronization, especially the synchronization capture and synchronization track ofthe receiver module have been studied. While studying the high speed differentialfrequency hopping communication technology, the generation mechanism of thefrequency hopping pattern and monitoring mechanism of frequency have been studied.Then the mechanism of G function which is the hopping transfer function of differentialfrequency has been studied. Based on the study of conventional G function, thestrengths and weaknesses of the present G function have been analyzed. According tothe existing shortcomings, an improved algorithm of the G function and the inverse G function has been worked out, which makes up the deficiencies of the conventional Gfunction and improves the randomness of differential frequency hopping sequenceeffectively. This algorithm improves the uniformity of differential frequency hoppingsequences and makes the anti-interference ability of hopping sequence stronger.A simulation model of new frequency hopping communication system has beenestablished with the MATLAB7.1simulation platform based on the theoretical analysis,in which the high speed broadband frequency hopping communication system and highspeed differential frequency hopping communication system are simulated, and therandomness and uniformity of the improved G-function are tested. The simulationresults show that the new system has a high transmission rate and stronganti-interference performance. The differential frequency hopping sequence generatedfrom the application of the improved G function has good randomness, uniformity,strong anti-interference performance and high security.
