Realization Of Practical Access Point In Broadband Wireless IP System

Recently, Broadband Wireless IP system is a hot topic among wireless developers. As the key part of this system, Access Point makes wireless terminals have a high speed wireless access to internet. So its research is of very importance."Broadband Wireless IP technology" which is carried out by the staff of National Key Lab of Theory and Chief Technology on Integrated Services Network of Xi'dian university is an important research project of 863. In order to develop this project further, this dissertation is devoted to the research and development of practical AP.Based on extensive research of the functions of AP and the application of network, the dissertation brings forward the scheme of realizing the practical AP. Around this, some research has been done as follows:1) Putting forward and carrying out the scheme of access control of AP. It combines the security of wireless LAN with AP, thus enhancing the security of LAN.2) The scheme by which AP can turn into wireless network bridge easily is advanced and realized. This can extend the using scope of practical AP.3) In order to make AP small, the embedded PC board is adopted as the hardware platform of AP and the embedded Linux as the operating system. It is implemented successfully.4) A charge system is designed and implemented to meet the market needs. We can charge a wireless terminal for the access of AP by using this system.At the end of dissertation, the test report of the velocity of embedded AP is supplemented and analyzed in annex.
