Large-Format Inkjet Printers have been widely used in various national industries. A thorough sdudy of the key technologies of Large-Format Thermal bubble Color Inkjet Printers was made in this paper, mainly focusing on the analysis of the design on the Interface and Nozzle Drive Unit of the Large-Format Inkjet Printer.The design of the interface unit is based on USB2.0 and FPGA technologies. The use of USB2.0 data transfer interface enables fast access to data; the double-cached storage mechanism completely solved the problem of non-parallelism between the processes of receiving and printing of the print data and the differential transmission mode makes long distance transmission of print data reliable. The design of print head drive unit is based on FPGA technology too, using CPLD control the print head driver chips to achieve the correct nozzle accurate decoding and data printing.This paper offers a detailed discussion of the design and implementation of the software and hardware of the system was raised in the paper. The results show that the proposed program effectively improved the performance of Large-Format Printers.
