| PCI Local Bus is an interconnect between processor/memory systems, peripheral controller components and expansion card. With its outstanding quality in data transmission, PCI Bus interface technology is widely used in computer industry.Based on the requirements in developing specific computer peripherals projects, this paper is intended to design of a simple and practical PCI interface controller. First, it analyses the whole-design of PCI interface controller and partition of all its sub modules, and then explores the function and technique of every sub module in detail. In the process of designation, PCI interface controller is applied in the programming of FPGA and Verilog HDL is used to describe the language. In combination with practical implements of the cheap and resourceful Cycloneâ…¡series chip of Alrera company, this project succeeds in achieving the hardware of PCI interface contrlller of the target device. Finally, it simulates hardware by using Quartusâ…¡of the Altera Company, and further testifies its validation by adopting the PCB board.This paper puts much emphasis on the design of hardware of the PCI interface controller and resolves the practical problems in project development. It has some important realistic significance. |
