Study On Art And Design Academic Journal

At present, with the constant intensification of the market economy and the development of periodical industrialization, because of its own limitations, the inherent thoughts for a long time and the differences about professional between the journal staffs, the overall image of domestic academic journal in the readers has been neglected and it's business are also facing a severe situation.With the strong visual impact from various fashion and lifestyle magazines, domestic academic journals' lack of character and other issues in the fierce market competition have been concerned by some scholars.However, the research about the image building of domestic academic journals is still lacking. Many of them are just about the theory advocating or exploration of the visual surface image, which do not really involve the whole process system of the academic journal, meanwhile there has been relatively little design research and exploration on a professional discipline's academic journal image.This paper,based on art and design academic journal, makes analysis from the Angle of interdisciplinary and standing on the overall image building's dimensions of domestic art and design academic journal. Through the introduction of integral design theory, it describes how to integrate academic journal image with the integral design method so as to portray a good image in readers' signt.It aims to found a referential and orderly design theory and method for establishing domestic arts and design academic journal,and thus can effectively improve the overall competitiveness and long-term vitality of journal.The study offered the design thought and method for art and design academic journal, had definite instruct meaning.The main place of innovation of this paper is to do pertinent research on art and design academic journal and import integral design theory in journal design field with the view of whole, contact, system, structure to look at the journal's publishing process. Besides it also emphasizes that the target audience has an important role in the process of image building when academic journals are seen as information products. Using integral design points to analysis the internal structure of these journals' image, ultimately based on actual case which is solving practical problems and needs, spread for the discussion about design methods. Through the in-depth study of theory and practice, this paper intends to let the publisher of academic journals can look at the whole design process with a more general and contact view, and provides them more reasonable actual methods.
