A Study Of The Development Of Cooperation Between Book Dealers And University Libraries During 30 Years Of Reform And Opening Up

With the promotion of college expansion and undergraduate assessment, the university libraries market expandes rapidely. The issues related to the cooperation between book dealers and university libraries have caught many people's attention.Firstly,this paper introduce the concept of the cooperation between book dealers and libraries according to the principle of supply chain, then analyse the drivers and constrains of cooperation.The paper point out that book dealers cooperate with librarie because libraries'demand is growing and book dealers continue to seek economic growth.The cooperative relationship is restricted by the attitude and willingness to cooperate, trust and communication, and the book dealers'capacity.Secondly,the paper pectinates the development of cooperation between book dealers and university libraries during 30 years of reform and openning up in four phases.For each phase,analyse the external environment and internal conditions,overview the cooperation between book dealers and university libraries, and then summarize the charateristic of each phase.Thirdly,the paper analyses the key problmes during cooperation and proposes corresponding measures.At last, the paper provides some advice for future cooperation between book dealers and university libraries.The paper is hoped to promote the relevent aspects of theoretical research,and to promote the better cooperation between book dealers and university libraries in the new environment.
