This thesis deals with the rehabilitation of social needs and collection system design. The system is consisting of amplifier and filter modules, analog multiplexers, microprocessor control and universal serial bus (USB) communication circuit, and an isolation power adapter. The digitized EMG data are transmitted to a personal computer, via USB, for waveform display and storage. A MS-Windows based application program is developed to access the system. The modularized design offers portable and flexible expansion for different EMG measurement setup. The USB bandwidth provides high throughput communication between the system and PC, and hence, eliminates the conventional RS-232 serial bus bottleneck. The modular design, hot-swappable and plug-and-play features made the system superior than traditional PC based EMG recorder.Use of the recorder used in rehabilitation equipment, the completion of the precise surface electromyography of the patient collection and storage. Ability to collect high accuracy, high input impedance and high common mode rejection ratio of the technical parameters, making the system more reliable results reflect the true acquisition.
