Most of the traditional scientific communication researches take "socialnorm" (normal social order) as the premise. However, public disasters of asudden will always interferent the normal order of society so that the wholesociety goes into a "non-normal" embarrassing situation. In this situation, the"classic" science communication theory is still valid or not, its proposed relevanttheories and responses are effective or not, become a worthy of discussionon the issue. When the public disaster happens suddenly, science communication appearsmany new characteristics: the initiative of the audiences is strengthened; therequirement of knowledge is increased violently; the participation of the audiencesis enhanced; the effect of learning is permanent. All this indicate that the sciencecommunication mechanism in a sudden public disaster is different from in thenormal society.Science communication is also in a special situation, which is affecting thediffusion of science. In this case, I believe that the situational nature of sciencecommunication means the process. In the procession, the scientific knowledge andother knowledge compete with each other, and come with mutual integrations, thenchange a local knowledge into some kind of another local knowledge. The author studies on science communication audiences, medias and modelsin the public disaster of a sudden, do philosophical reflection on them, emphasizethe meaning of the contingency and importance of people-centered, sum up thevaluable experience about science communication in the public disaster of asudden s. Meanwhile, science communication on society in the public disaster of asudden has inspired a very important meaning to normal science communication. That means the establishment of a new, audience-based, public participation mechanism on science communication .
