Design And Implementation Of Online Examination Monitoring System

Along with the rapid development of computer technology and network technology, the on-line examination system has gradually become a new exam way in the educational institution, the authentication organization and the enterprise staff education.This new exam way has obtained more and more widespread application and development.As same as the ordinary examination, the on-line examination faces many kinds of cheating on the test.So it needs an effective monitoring way to make the on-line examination guarantee the examination's fairness and safety.Both the man-power monitoring and video record monitoring which are widely used have many insufficiencies.Aim at that, the paper designs and develops a new on-line examination monitoring system which based on PC camera.The new system uses PC camera and image processing technology.lt can provide a low cost and highly effective monitoring way for the on-line examination. Main contents of this article are as follows:First, this paper analyzes the key technology used in the exam-monitoring system:camera image acquisition technology, Socket communications technology, dynamic data release technology, as well as XML technology.Second, this paper designs the entire structure of online examination system and vedio monitoring system and analyzes the formation and function of these two systems, meanwhile analyzes the workflow of vedio monitoring system.Third, according to the security needs of online examination system, provide a detailed analysis and design of a PC-camera-based exam-monitoring system, including camera image capture, screen sectional drawing, monitoring management of point, and papers and images inquiries function module after the examination.Focused on achieving camera image acquisition and Socket communications.Finally, this paper has carried on the reality simulation test to the exam-monitoring system.The results show that the system is feasible and effective.
