The resources of library and information institutions increasingly rich and the degree of resources processing gradually improve in China. Meanwhile, the forms of knowledge services is diversify, knowledge services becoming more personalized services brings new challenges. With the rapid development of information and technology, the interaction of knowledge services and the collaboration management between them are necessary for library and information institutions because of the complexity library information services. The theory of knowledge supply chain pays much attention to users demand, benefit increasing and knowledge sharing, besides emphasizing knowledge innovation and value-added. This effective management mechanism that is essential for library and information institutions brings the user with the quickly resolved solutions and speed up the use of hidden knowledge services.The research of abroad knowledge services is marketed and sociality, which has some understanding of the supply chain and attached great importance to practical application's research. At the same time, much attention is paid on the model of cooperating between produce and research. However, the research of combining knowledge services and the knowledge supply chain's theory is very little. In theory, because of lacking knowledge of the supply chain and subjects analysis of interaction in practice, can not effectively achieve industry, academia, research, coordination development. This paper aims at analysis knowledge services of library and information institutions in our country, and applies the key of knowledge supply chain's theory to knowledge services application for achieve the maximum benefits of the user's knowledge.This paper described the theory of foundations including knowledge of Library information services and supply chain of knowledge for the existing problems in the current Knowledge Services, demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of applying knowledge supply chain's theory to library or information institution services. Second, this paper proposes the knowledge-based supply of chain knowledge service model starting from the guidelines and principles. Last, empirical analysis part of the methods that apply knowledge supply chain's theory to knowledge services used by institute of Canadian science and technology information.This article introduces the theory supply chain of knowledge through knowledge interaction, knowledge innovation, knowledge collaboration and other core ideas. After investigating the libraries and information institutions in the status of knowledge services, fully demonstrates the advantages and necessity of applying knowledge supply chain's theory to knowledge services. Besides, for user-driven goal, build the model that possesses knowledge converted, shared and produces-study-innovate-manage- federated within the knowledge services of internal supply chain. Through anglicizing of the knowledge supply chain concept for library and information institutions in the case of knowledge services, provides for other institutions a reference.
