File system is a concept of long-standing,as embedded systems technology in recent years developping continuously,has generated a huge demand in embedded applications. Foreign study on embedded file system has already been started and achieved fruitful results. Some excellent programs came into being,plays an extremely important role in the actual projects. The domestic research on it later, mature programs are also low and are mostly used for commercial, not to researchers and those who use open-source, which for the embedded file system in the country's development is more unfavorable. This paper presents a full self-developed embedded file system solutions to hope to promote the development of related technologies, researchers in this direction to provide a reference.In this paper, the popular general-purpose file system structure and operating mechanism are briefly introduced,in order to be learnt by embedded file system and is compatible with it. Embedded file system have their own characteristics due to the specificity of the needs and applications.Deep understanding and study of its characteristics and technical points will be the basis for building embedded file system. In this design,the program aims to lower its dependence on the hardware resources, and on this basis to ensure the completeness of its functionality. In order to make this program can truly be applied to the actual projects, being supported by most of the CPU, in the design of the streamlined, portability, scalability, and many other aspects were strengthened. Embedded file system research and construction, the core of the work is to achieve a variety of file operations functions, they relate to the actual needs and the specific technology and demand efficiently. As the entire embedded file system functions and details of the more complicated and other factors, in order to ensure its accuracy, stability and efficiency, this article design the validation test program for its full, true and effective test. In addition, in order to make the research and realization of the whole system can run up truly, the program will be designed with the hardware target board to debug it.Meanwhile, in order to ensure their low hardware-dependence,we use 8051 chips of the poorest resources on the board .
