Design And Implementation Of SNMP-Based Network Device Management System

With the continuous development of information technology, and many enterprise use OA, VPDN. ERP and other routine office systems to improve business efficiency, the system will undoubtedly require companies to expand to increase the size and complexity of the network, to ensuring the normal operation of the network. So for a company, network management system becomes an important part of the normal operation of the company. According to the status of network management technology. I designed a SNMP-based network management system for a web-based enterprise. And by understanding the core technology, the software finished several major network management functions including configuration management, performance monitoring and fault management.This article has the following aspects of the content consists of:design the overall system architecture, and with the analysis of MIB information database I designed master database table structure and corresponding data sets:collecting data from the network devices and stored in the data sets. By comparison of the various parameters to derive if the device is in normal operation; analysis the MIB data set which got from the network topology, learning of the 2nd layer network topology discovery algorithm, and tried the 3rd layer network topology discovery algorithm:from the resulting data and parameters. we display the current device state topology with more intuitive graphic. And finally realized the configuration, performance and fault management and monitoring.This design of the NMS. make use of my enterprise, and working on the production achieved relatively good results.
