Lack of dynamic and initiative, the traditional way of system integration cannot cope with the open environment and variable changing requirements in system integration fields. With the characteristics of autonomy, initiative, social etc. Agents are suitable to describe systems with members natural distributed, bodies autonomous, members of demands for flexible interactive, and environments constantly changing. Therefore, the agent technology is introduced in the project to realize a flexible integration framework with support tools, which can dynamically adapt to the changing requirements. Among these, the research and implementation of agent model in dynamic integration is one of key technologies. It is the focus of this paper to apply the properties of agent to the process of system integration, to provide an agent model supporting an inflexible and dynamic way of system integration. Based-on the existing relevant theories techniques and previous work of the project, an agent model for agent-based system integration and development environment is proposed in this paper and is divided into two categories, to be function agents and service agents, according to the differences of responsibility and level. Afterwards, the method and mechanism adopted by agents to support dynamic integration is highlighted and described in detail, including agents'autonomous collaboration strategy and biding mechanisms among agents, which provide supports for dynamic integration logic switch in the case of variable changing integration requirements and self-adaptive integration in dynamic environment. Finally, a group of experiments is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the model and methods proposed in this paper.
