As the development and application of the computer technology and super cosmically integrated circuit technology greatly, we have more and more demands of multimedia communication. Access of the diversified terminals provides great convenience for us, at the same time, bottle-neck of communications appears and then the bandwidth resource becomes increasingly precious. To meet the communication service demand and make multiple and much compression transportation and signal digital processing to be came true, more and more advantages are revealed by digital transportation and digital storage. Thus, the reduce of signal occupancy bandwidth, storage cubage and durative time can be done to save the spending of signal in transportation, disposal and storage and brought immense economy value out. Especially in the condition of the wireless channels, with the finite bandwidth resource, making full use of the channel becomes an important problem.The equipment based on ATM switch is introduced, which can carry the gained phone operation out and hold the fax and the data in the band out. For the equipment, a new cell structure is defined, the cross connection and series connection is implemented and the voice compress technique G729 is adopted. Simultaneity, the test method of the equipment function targets is researched and the impersonal simple and convenient methods of the multiplication test are put forward.In the paper, the technology system and the familiar voice coding and decoding standard of the Circuit Multiplication Equipment are introduced. The user-defined cell structure and cell bus arbitration are put forward, which can sustain the cross connection and series connection. The detail design and implementation of trunk interface cell and bear interface cell are expatiated in the paper. At last, main function tests and validations of the Circuit Multiplication Equipment are presented, at the same time, an impersonal simple and convenient method of testing compress plus are studied.
