Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless is a development platform of wireless application provided by the Qualcomm Incorporated. The characteristics of this platform are simplicity, easy to use, superior functions and so on .Because of these, the BREW platform is dominating the market in modern times.In this paper, the author researched recent status of the mobile video alarm clock and camera applications at home and abroad , analyzing shortcomings of the mobile alarm clock, and then putting forward requirements of the mobile video alarm clock. Mobile video alarm clock achieves optimization of traditional audio alarm clock. By setting a relevant video file for the alarm event, figurative picture will remind users of what to be done with, when the setted alarm time is on. Camera application include functions of camera previewing,setting property of film, movie recording,facilitating users to make camera freely.In addition, user can make camera according to the type of alarm event, which provides video source to mobile video alarm. During the development of mobile video alarm clock and camera applications, BREW allocates memory dynamicly, defining the interface to create, redraw and handle events by using IWindow mechanism, BREW mechanism of event handling makes key and timing events transmission and processing come true.Most methods used in this paper (design) are explored to achieve in my actual work, which are useful to readers dealing with the development of alarm clock and camera applications.
