With the rapid development of avionics, sharing information between systems increases requirements for aviation communications network. In order to meet reliability,real-time and other aspects of the needs for avionics, AEEC adopted a new kind of AND standard named ARINC664 specification. The specification part7 defined a full duplex switched Ethernet. This deterministic network provides QoS guarantee for a point to point network through Virtual Link technology, and it is based on IEEE standard 802.3 and COTS technology to achieve high-speed data communications between aircraft equipment technologies. In this thesis, two parts of AFDX are analyzed, including end system and switch. Based on packet scheduling algorithm, preemptive priority scheduling algorithm is improved to adapt End system features. This improved algorithm has used in the end system scheduling. The simulation analysis shows improved algorithm raised real-time of the system. After the analysis of end system, switch is researched. Several key modules of switch are analyzed in this paper, and a new algorithm called Self-Adaptive Round-Robin scheduling algorithm is proposed. SARR algorithm combines the advantages of the previous polling algorithm and solves disadvantages of the traditional queue scheduling. Based on the application research, flight simulation system is designed to meet the requirements of practical engineering in this paper, and implemented reliable high-speed data transfer between the various subsystems by means of AFDX.
