Frequency selective surface (FSS) is periodical array in two dimensions, whichcomprises periodically arranged metallic-patch elements or aperture elements within ametallic screen. FSS can be considered as a spatial filter used to control the transmationor the reflection of the incoming electromagnetic wave, which is widely used inmicrowave, millimeter waves and infrared wavelengths. In this paper, bandpass FSS is mainly discussed for its important application in stealthradomes. In order to achieve the FSS miniaturization in low frequency band, miniaturized fractal FSS working in S band is designed, the size of which is only 74%of the classic aperture FSS working at the same frequency, and its complementarystructure can resonate at dual frequencies. In order to get higher frequency selective, new FSS composed of aperture-coupled micro-strip is designed, in which the strip patchis coupled to its neighbour on the opposite surface, via a slot etched in the ground. Atlast, FSS with loaded lumped element working at VHF band is proposed, the neededresonate frequency can be obtained by changing the parameter of the lumped elements.
