Research On Landscape Lighting Control And Management System Based On DMX512

As the international light control standard, DMX512 Protocol is being used. in increasing fields with our life becoming better and better. Chances always come with challenge. Nowadays DMX512 faces up with some problems as follows:the scale of control increasing, greatly, the coordination of modern music,mechanical movement and light changes, configuring the physical address for DMX devices and so on. Since the 1990s, foreign suppliers have searched technology solutions for problems mentioned above. The most popular ones among them are ACN Protocol and Art-Net Protocol.This paper explored the characteristics of DMX512, ACN and Art-Net Protocols, and discussed puzzles mentioned above. Improve the architecture of light control system with the combination of Internet and DMX512, to satisfy with the large scale and remote control. Meanwhile, to enhance the bandwidth utilization, this paper presented the operation of pre-saving scenes in DMX512 controller by taking a reference from logical group addressing.ACN and Art-Net Protocols provide the identification and management of devices on Internet, while DMX controllers are still the most useful equipments at present. This paper presented the theory of identifying and managing for fieldbus devices automatically, so DMX controllers can get their DMX512 network addresses from the master controller whenever they are added into.At last, this paper designed the remote control software by LabVIEW, developed the gateway software on ARM-Linux operation system with S3C2440 and DMX controller software with ATmega8. The development of landscape lighting system based on DMX512 presented by this paper has positive and example effect on applying the advanced network lighting control system in our country widely.
