At present, there is a serious shortage of water resources in our country, so water-saving irrigation is imperative. With the development of greenhouse wireless network technology, there are more and more researches about greenhouse water-saving irrigation monitoring and control system, but very little system can be put into use. There are two main reasons:firstly, it is difficult to install and maintain systems; secondly, the price is too high to large-scale promote. According to the characteristics of greenhouse micro- irrigation and the requirements for cost control, this paper presents a low cost wireless greenhouse micro-sprinkler monitoring and control system to develop a set system which is applicability, low cost, easy to use. The main content is listed as follows:(1) The applicability of ZigBee and GPRS technology in the greenhouse micro-irrigation monitoring and control system was analyzed, the advantage of their joint networking was summed up, and communication foundation for a wireless greenhouse micro-irrigation monitoring and control system was establishment.(2) The low cost design was proposed by analyzing the characteristics of greenhouse micro-irrigation and cost control requirements.(3) The system hardware design was adhering to the spirit of low-cost, according to the characteristics of greenhouse micro-spray irrigation, software design has realized automatic control, cycle control and other control strategies.(4) Energy management system was studied, including routing method for greenhouse, hibernation and wake-up function according with agricultural demand, processing of redundant data and report-alarm mechanism. It can effectively improve system reliability and reduce energy consumption.The system has been used in greenhouse vegetable stand in lishui, After long time running, it behaves well and laid the foundation for the further promotion.
