With the image processing technology improvement, real-time image processing has been widely used. This paper expounds the FPGA on the realization method of image processing algorithm and optimized process, and on this basis mobile phone keyboard defect detection method is studied.Firstly, the paper introduces the principle about the FPGA hardware structure and design process. Secondly, it expounds the system operation process, designs the hardware framework. Based on the practical problems in system design,the solving schemes are proposed.The system modules are analyzed and implemented. Then this paper expounds the real-time image processing algorithm theory such as median filtering,correlation matching.Based on the architecture, several typical image processing algorithms, which included median filter,edge detection and correlation matching etc, were implemented in VHDL.Finally, the hardware platform has been used in mobile phone keyboard detection and tested.
