Nowaday, Embedded systems are widely used in control devices. For the specific control equipment, it takes a long time to develop fault diagnosis expert system to meet the requirements. Therefore, based on the basic architecture of expert system, the concept of rapid development and the cross-platform code generation technology, a fault diagnosis expert system development platform used for embedded control system is designed. It can effectively raise the efficiency of diagnostic expert system and improve the efficiency and reliability of the control system.Firstly, for the demand of the fault diagnosis in the emdedded control system, hierarchical fault diagnosis architecture based on gray associational analysis and the expert system is designed. Secondly, based on the architecture, around the modules of the expert system, the framwork of the expert system developing platform used for embedded fault diagnosis and its functional modules is designed. Thirdly, through the principles of the datas, rules and reasoning mechanisms are further researched, and then the database, the knowledge base, the inference engine and the code generation modules of the expert system developing platform are implemented according to the module design ideas. Fourthly, developing platform uses XML and XSLT code generation technology. Because the expert system code generated is overall planed, the hierarchical structure of the code is realized. The cohesion and coupling of the code is reduced and the robustness and security of the code is improved.Finally, based on an elevator control system simulator, the platform is applied to develop an emdedded fault diagnostics expert system. The diagnostic accuracy and validity of the expert system generated is verified. Therefore, the fault diagnosis expert system developing platform combined with gray associate analysis algorithm is feasible.
